Description

Domaine G. Roumier is one of the most respected names in Chambolle-Musigny, and this 2013 Pinot Noir captures everything that makes the appellation so admired: perfume, precision, and effortless elegance. It is a wine defined by finesse rather than power, with a historic producer reputation that adds serious pedigree to every bottle.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a bright, graceful profile in the glass, with vivid aromas of red cherry, wild raspberry, and ripe strawberry, layered with violet, gentle spice, and a subtle chalky mineral note. It is immediately appealing for its lifted, delicate character, yet there is clear depth beneath the surface. On the palate, it is silky and harmonious, with vibrant freshness that carries the fruit beautifully and gives the wine shape without hard edges. The tannins are fine and precise, and the finish is long, clean, and fruit-driven. While already charming in its youth, the wine has the balance and structure to gain added complexity with further cellaring.

Production
Produced in Bourgogne from Pinot Noir grown in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, this wine reflects the area’s cool, limestone-rich terroir, which is known for yielding highly aromatic, finely textured reds. The fruit is typically harvested with great care, and vinification is carried out to preserve purity, lift, and the natural elegance of the vintage.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with dishes that echo its refinement, such as roast duck, grilled quail, mushroom risotto, veal, or poultry with delicate sauces. Serve at around 15–17°C, and decanting for a short period may be helpful if opened young, though older bottles should be handled gently and tasted first before decanting.

Producer
Domaine G. Roumier is a benchmark producer in Chambolle-Musigny and one of the most admired names in all of Burgundy. Known for producing wines of exceptional finesse, balance, and aging potential, the domaine has built an outstanding reputation among collectors and Burgundy lovers alike.
