Domaine François Villard’s Saint-Joseph Blanc Fruit d’Avilleran brings together Marsanne and Roussanne, two classic white Rhône varieties, in a distinctive expression of one of the northern Rhône’s leading appellations. The blend is known for balancing ripe, generous fruit with the freshness and mineral character that give the region’s white wines their appeal.

Tasting Notes
The tasting note supplied is for the 2019 vintage, so it should be treated as a guide rather than a precise description of the 2022. It describes ripe peach and exotic fruit aromas, with a subtle smoky, stony undertone. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and full-bodied, yet lifted by fine spice, mineral notes and fresh acidity.

Food & Serving
Try it with roast poultry, grilled or pan-seared fish, creamy vegetable dishes, or dishes featuring almonds and citrus. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C. Decanting is not essential, though a brief spell in a carafe may help the wine open up.
