Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, inviting ruby color with the clarity and lift typical of well-made Burgundy. The nose is driven by fresh red fruit, with notes that suggest cherry, raspberry, and a subtle floral edge, supported by gentle oak nuance. The palate is smooth and generous, with a velvety texture and a savory, mouthwatering finish. Old-vine fruit gives the wine extra concentration and length, while the 2022 vintage's freshness keeps it lively and well balanced. It is crafted to be enjoyed young, though it should also develop nicely over the next few years.

Production
This cuvée comes from three Mercurey parcels with old vines rooted in Burgundy’s limestone- and clay-rich soils, bringing both finesse and structure to the wine. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified to preserve freshness and purity of fruit, followed by 12 months of aging in oak barrels, including 20% new oak, before bottling.

Food & Serving
A versatile Burgundy like this pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck breast, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, and lighter game such as quail or veal. Serve at around 15–17°C, and decanting is optional—though a short decant of 20–30 minutes can help open up the wine if enjoyed relatively young.
