Domaine Faury Saint-Joseph Blanc Les Ribaudes 2021 is a bright, terroir-driven white from one of the Rhône’s most respected appellations. Made from Marsanne and Roussanne, it combines elegance, texture, and mineral precision, reflecting the character of the granite and gneiss slopes of Saint-Joseph.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the 2021 vintage shows clarity and intensity, with a luminous pale-golden colour. The nose opens on white peach, ripe pear, and a subtle hint of white grapefruit, layered with stony mineral notes that speak clearly of its origin. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a fresh, linear acidity and a fine creamy texture, finishing dry, vibrant, and distinctly mineral, with citrus and chalky undertones. It already offers plenty of charm, but it also has the structure to develop beautifully over the next few years.

Production
Les Ribaudes comes from south-west facing parcels in the heart of Saint-Joseph, planted on granite and gneiss soils that lend the wine its tension and mineral edge. The vines are typically 20 to 40 years old, and the grapes are harvested by hand with careful selection at optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in large French demi-muids, with no malolactic fermentation and no filtration, a minimal-intervention approach that preserves freshness, purity, and terroir expression.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for seafood, shellfish, grilled white fish, roast poultry, or creamy dishes with a refined texture, such as risotto or poultry in a light sauce. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help open up its aromatic complexity if enjoyed young.
