Tasting Notes
In the glass, the 2017 Cuvée Réservée shows a deep, насыщенный ruby-garnet color. The nose is layered and expressive, opening with blackberries, dark plums, black tea, black pepper, and fresh Mediterranean herbs such as rosemary and thyme, before evolving toward leather and sandalwood with time in the glass. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, yet finely textured, with concentrated dark fruit, clove, white pepper, and savory herb notes carrying through a long, structured finish. It has the balance and depth to develop beautifully over the next 5 years, while its underlying structure suggests a drinking window of 20–25 years or more.

Production
Cuvée Réservée comes from Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards in the southern Rhône, where the warm, sun-drenched climate and stony soils help produce intensely flavored, structured fruit. The blend includes 13 grape varieties, though it is led by around 80% Grenache. The grapes are harvested and vinified traditionally, with whole clusters pressed, fermentation in cement tanks without added yeasts, and maturation for two years in used oak barrels.

Food & Serving
This is a wine that shines alongside richly flavored dishes such as roasted lamb, game, beef daube, duck confit, or herb-crusted poultry. It also works beautifully with aged cheeses and Provençal dishes built around rosemary, thyme, garlic, and olives. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours to allow the wine’s aromatics and structure to fully open.
