Domaine de RimauresQ R Blanc 2022 is a refined Provence white that captures both the generosity of the region and the precision of its terroir. Made exclusively from Rolle and drawn from 30-year-old vines, it combines silky texture, crisp mineral energy, and a subtle touch of oak for extra depth. This Cru Classé bottling reflects the elegance that has long made Provence one of France’s most distinctive wine regions.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a yellow-green shimmer that immediately hints at freshness and finesse. The bouquet opens with elderflower, citrus, pomelo, and yellow apple, layered with a gentle note of toasted bread from the barrel ageing. On the palate, the wine is rounded and supple, with a smooth, almost creamy texture balanced by bright, chalky minerality and a faint bitter, slightly metallic edge that adds complexity. The finish is clean and persistent, and while it is delicious now, it should hold well over the next few years as its mineral and oak-driven nuances continue to integrate.

Production
The vines grow on soils rich in schist, a key factor behind the wine’s crisp mineral character and polished mouthfeel. The Rolle grapes come from mature vines, around 30 years old, lending concentration and texture to the finished wine. After harvest, the wine is aged for six months in French oak, which softens the palate and adds a discreet layer of complexity without overshadowing the fruit.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent food wine, particularly with baked fish finished with herbs and lemon. It will also work beautifully with shellfish, roast poultry, creamy vegetable dishes, or Provençal cuisine served at around 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary, though a short time in the glass can help the aromatics open fully.
