Tasting Notes
Deep red in colour, it opens with juicy, almost candied aromas of blueberry, spice and menthol. The palate is ripe, full-bodied and classically dry, with a generous, concentrated core; as noted by Stephen Tanzer in 2008, it was still youthful and somewhat closed then, gaining power and impact as it opened in the glass.

Production
The fruit comes from younger vines in Musigny, up to 25 years old, giving this Premier Cru an unusual connection to the domaine’s famed Grand Cru vineyard. Specific details about the harvest, vineyard soils and winemaking are not available. Now a mature 2005, its condition and remaining ageing potential will depend on storage; well-kept bottles may still offer further development.

Food & Serving
