Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé’s 2015 Chambolle-Musigny pairs the appellation’s graceful red-fruit character with notable depth and structure. Though it may have seemed immediately charming in barrel, its firm, fine-grained tannins and concentrated fruit point to a wine with the staying power of a serious Burgundy.

Tasting Notes
The nose opens with delicate aromas of griotte cherry, raspberry and rose petals. On the palate, a clear core of ripe fruit is balanced by juicy acidity and substantial, finely textured tannins that become more evident on the finish. The 2015 vintage has the structure to develop over time rather than simply offering early appeal. Its exact evolution will depend on storage, but it is suited to further ageing in a well-kept cellar.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 15–16°C. Try it with roast chicken, duck, pork tenderloin or mushroom dishes, whose savoury flavours complement the wine’s red fruit and fine structure. If opening now, give it a gentle 30–45 minutes in a decanter, checking as it opens; avoid prolonged aeration.
