Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 2015 is one of Burgundy’s most sought-after Premier Cru wines, often regarded as the closest expression to the estate’s legendary Musigny Grand Cru. Crafted in part from younger vines in Musigny alongside selected Premier Cru parcels, it delivers remarkable depth, elegance, and a strong sense of terroir.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the classic Chambolle-Musigny profile: bright, refined red fruit with a graceful, almost transparent ruby hue. The nose opens with layers of raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry, and violet, lifted by subtle spice, discreet oak, and a chalky mineral edge. With time in bottle, additional notes of forest floor, dried flowers, and oriental spice emerge, adding even more complexity. The palate is silky yet impressively concentrated, combining pure Pinot Noir fruit with vibrant acidity and finely woven tannins. Flavours unfold with precision and finesse, showing red berries, floral nuances, and mineral undertones that lead into a long, harmonious finish. This is a wine built for patience, with excellent aging potential over many years.

Produced in Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy, the wine draws on fruit from younger Musigny vines as well as carefully selected Premier Cru sites. The village’s limestone-rich soils contribute freshness, elegance, and a distinctive mineral character, while the estate’s careful harvesting and vinification are geared toward preserving purity, texture, and site expression.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for refined dishes such as roast duck, game bird, veal, mushroom risotto, or braised rabbit. Serve at around 15–16°C to allow the aromas and texture to fully open, and decant gently if young, though a brief decant is usually sufficient to preserve its delicate aromatics.
