Domaine Bois de Boursan Cuvée des Félix 2000 is a superbly classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the heart of the Rhône, crafted with a deep respect for tradition and terroir. Made from old-vine Grenache, supported by Mourvèdre and Syrah from some of the appellation’s finest parcels, it captures the richness and elegance of one of the region’s great vintages.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a deep, dark ruby colour that hints at both concentration and maturity. The nose is intensely layered, with black cherry, cassis, and blackberry woven together with dried herbs, liquorice, leather, fennel, and subtle notes of tapenade and garrigue. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, yet beautifully balanced and harmonious. Dark fruit, spice, and a gentle smoky edge are supported by ripe tannins and fresh acidity, giving the wine impressive structure and length. The finish is long and refined, marked by mineral and herbal notes, and it still has the energy to evolve further for several years.

Production
Cuvée des Félix is sourced from old vines planted on some of the best terroir in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the stony soils and warm Mediterranean climate help produce wines of depth, concentration, and character. The blend is led by Grenache, with Mourvèdre and Syrah adding structure and complexity, and the wine is made with a traditional approach that respects both the fruit and the identity of the vineyard sites.

Food & Serving
This is an ideal wine for rich, flavourful dishes such as lamb, game, or beef tenderloin. Serve at 15–16 °C, and decant if possible to allow the aromas and flavours to open fully.
