Tasting Notes
Bright ruby in colour, this Premier Cru opens with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry, followed by violet, subtle woodland notes and delicate spice. On the palate, it is refined and energetic, with silky tannins, lively acidity and a mineral, gently savoury finish. The 2021 vintage favours freshness and finesse over sheer power, while the wine’s structure should allow it to develop beautifully over the next 8–12 years, with careful cellaring.

Les Ruchots is a Premier Cru vineyard in Morey-Saint-Denis, a Côte de Nuits appellation known for producing Pinot Noir that combines the elegance of Chambolle-Musigny with the depth associated with Gevrey-Chambertin. Domaine Arlaud farms its vineyards with a strong focus on organic and biodynamic principles, and the grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification is carried out with an emphasis on preserving site character and vintage freshness, followed by maturation in French oak, allowing the fruit and terroir to remain at the forefront.

Food & Serving
Serve at approximately 15–17°C, ideally after a short period in the glass or with 30–60 minutes of gentle decanting when young. Its fine tannins and savoury complexity make it a natural partner for roast duck, coq au vin, veal, grilled poultry, mushroom dishes and Burgundy-style beef preparations. Mature hard cheeses, such as Comté, also complement its earthy and mineral nuances.
