Description

Domaine Antonin Guyon’s Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Goudelettes 2023 is a classic, beautifully poised Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most respected traditional domaines. Sourced from a prized site north of Beaune, it captures the finesse, freshness, and subtle structure that make Savigny-lès-Beaune such an appealing expression of Côte de Beaune red Burgundy.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a light purplish-red colour that hints at its youthful energy and delicate style. The nose is fresh and lifted, with bright aromas of cherry, raspberry, and other small red berries, supported by a clean, understated Burgundy character. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with fine tannins, balanced acidity, and a pure, fresh finish. The wine is charming now, but should also develop added nuance over the next few years, rewarding short- to medium-term cellaring.

Production
The wine comes from limestone- and clay-rich soils in Savigny-lès-Beaune, north of Beaune, where Pinot Noir develops a fine balance of freshness, precision, and structure. It is made using traditional methods, including hand harvesting, fermentation in open wooden vats, and ageing in oak barrels with a modest proportion of new oak to preserve the fruit and terroir expression.

Food & Serving
This is a very versatile Burgundy, ideal with poultry, veal, roasted meats, and soft cheeses. Serve it slightly cool, around 15–16°C, and consider decanting for 20–30 minutes if drinking young to let the aromas open up.

Producer
Domaine Antonin Guyon is a long-established Burgundy producer known for crafting terroir-driven wines from across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. With a reputation for precision and classic style, the domaine has become a respected name in the region for elegant, site-expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay alike.
