Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the depth and polish expected of top-tier Richebourg, with a vibrant core of dark and red berry fruit. The nose opens with blackberry, raspberry, and cranberry, layered with crushed stone, wild hedgerow, and subtle spice. The palate is medium-bodied yet finely structured, with crisp, firm tannins and beautifully integrated new oak. Fresh notes of black pepper and savory nuance lead into a long, persistent finish. While already compelling, it has the balance and structure to age gracefully for many years, developing greater complexity over time.

Production
Richebourg sits in the heart of Burgundy’s most prized Pinot Noir territory, where the terroir is known for producing wines of exceptional finesse and concentration. Domaine A.F. Gros owns just 0.6 hectares in the vineyard and produces fewer than 200 cases a year, underscoring the rarity of this cuvée. The grapes are vinified to preserve purity, site expression, and the natural elegance of the fruit.

Food & Serving
This is an outstanding match for fine dishes such as roast duck, pigeon, lamb saddle, truffle risotto, or mushroom-based preparations. Serve at around 16–18°C to allow the aromatics and texture to fully unfold, and decant gently if drinking young, though an older bottle may only need a short airing.
