Description

Dom Pérignon Takashi Murakami 2015 is a striking limited-edition Champagne that pairs one of the world’s most celebrated prestige cuvées with the playful visual language of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. Crafted from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it reflects the house’s unmistakable style: precision, depth, and an elegant sense of tension, elevated here by a collector-worthy design that makes the bottle as memorable as the wine inside.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the Champagne shows a refined, luminous character with a fine mousse and a polished, energetic presence. The bouquet opens with citrus, white flowers, and ripe stone fruit, followed by notes of brioche, subtle toast, and a delicate mineral edge that adds definition and lift. On the palate, it is precise and layered, with creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity and a long, focused finish. The wine combines freshness with depth in a way that feels both poised and expressive, and it has the structure to age gracefully, gaining further complexity over time.

Production
Dom Pérignon is produced in Champagne from carefully selected Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, with a strong emphasis on balance, precision, and vintage expression. The 2015 vintage was shaped by demanding growing conditions, which led the cellar team to select only the best fruit to preserve the house style. The result is a Champagne that captures both the character of the year and the meticulous craftsmanship behind the cuvée.

Food & Serving
This Champagne is an excellent match for delicate seafood such as scallops, oysters, sea bass tartare, and other refined dishes with clean, saline flavors. It is best served well chilled, around 8–10°C, and does not require decanting; simply open shortly before serving to preserve its freshness and finesse.

Producer
Champagne Moët & Chandon is the house behind Dom Pérignon, one of Champagne’s most iconic names and a benchmark for prestige cuvée production. With deep roots in the region and a long-standing reputation for excellence, the house has become synonymous with luxury, craftsmanship, and consistency. Dom Pérignon in particular has earned global acclaim for its vintage-only approach and its ability to combine power, elegance, and age-worthiness.
