Description

Dom Pérignon Rosé 2002 is an exceptional prestige cuvée built around the vivid character of Pinot Noir, shaped by around nine years of patient cellar ageing. In magnum format, it offers even greater depth, finesse, and longevity, making it a truly collector-worthy expression of Champagne craftsmanship. As part of the legendary Dom Pérignon heritage, it reflects both precision and the house’s long-standing pursuit of refinement.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a beautifully mature, deep rosé hue with the elegance and concentration expected from a great vintage Champagne. The bouquet is layered and seductive, with raspberry and wild strawberry at the forefront, lifted by delicate notes of iris and violet. On the palate, it is plush, juicy, and silky in texture, with impressive volume balanced by a refined mineral edge. The finish becomes more focused and linear, with subtle hints of green flowers adding freshness and structure. Thanks to its vintage pedigree and magnum format, it has excellent ageing potential and can continue to evolve gracefully for years.

Production
Dom Pérignon Rosé 2002 is crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from the Champagne region, where chalky soils and a cool climate help preserve tension, freshness, and aromatic precision. The wine is made with meticulous attention to selecting Pinot Noir for its original vitality and expressive power, then aged in the cellar for around nine years before release. This long maturation period helps build complexity, texture, and the seamless harmony that defines the cuvée.

Food & Serving
This rosé Champagne is superb with refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, salmon, tuna tartare, duck breast, or dishes with wild berries and subtle spice. It also pairs beautifully with sushi, sashimi, or aged hard cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not recommended, but giving it a few minutes in the glass can help the aromatics unfold.

Producer
Champagne Moët & Chandon is one of the most celebrated names in Champagne, with a long history of producing world-renowned sparkling wines. Dom Pérignon represents the house’s most prestigious expression, created to embody elegance, precision, and exceptional vintage character. The cuvée has earned an iconic status in the region and among collectors for its consistency, prestige, and ability to age beautifully.
