Description

Dom Pérignon Rosé 2002 is a benchmark prestige cuvée that captures Pinot Noir in one of its most expressive forms. After nearly nine years of cellar aging, it emerges with remarkable finesse, depth and intensity, combining the house’s signature elegance with a vivid, almost electric energy. With its roots in one of Champagne’s most celebrated names, it stands as a modern icon of the region.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a luminous salmon-rose hue with a refined, persistent mousse. On the nose, it is beautifully mature and layered, opening with raspberries and wild strawberries, then unfolding into delicate notes of iris and violet. The palate is rich, supple and succulent, with a silky texture and impressive breadth. Mineral tension runs through the wine, bringing freshness and precision to the ripe fruit, while the finish turns firmer and more structured, with subtle hints of green flowers. It is drinking beautifully now, but should also reward further bottle aging over the coming years.

Production
Dom Pérignon Rosé 2002 is crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from Champagne, with the house’s focus on preserving the pure character and vital energy of Pinot Noir. The wine spends around nine years aging in the cellar, allowing complexity, texture and aromatic depth to develop. The result is a meticulous vinification that balances ripeness, structure and mineral clarity in a very refined style.

Food & Serving
This Champagne is ideal with fine dishes that can match its depth and precision, such as lobster, langoustines, sashimi, duck breast, or dishes with red berry accents. Serve chilled at around 8-10°C. Decanting is not usually necessary, but allowing it a few minutes in the glass can help reveal its full aromatic complexity.

Producer
Champagne Moët & Chandon is one of the most renowned names in Champagne and the producer behind Dom Pérignon, a prestige cuvée inspired by the legendary Benedictine monk associated with early Champagne winemaking. The house has played a major role in shaping the region’s global reputation and is known for producing some of the world’s most celebrated sparkling wines. Dom Pérignon remains one of its most iconic achievements, admired for precision, ageing potential and consistent prestige.
