Description

Dom Pérignon 2008 Magnum is a standout release from one of Champagne’s most iconic houses, offering remarkable precision, depth, and balance in a generous magnum format. Crafted in a cool vintage that favored freshness and complexity, it shows the classic Dom Pérignon signature with added refinement and longevity.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass with a lively, fine mousse, this vintage opens with a refined nose of citrus zest, green apple, pear, and white flowers, layered with brioche, chalky minerality, and subtle toasted nuances from long aging on the lees. On the palate it is precise and intensely structured, combining vibrant acidity with creamy texture, elegant depth, and a long, mineral-driven finish. The 2008 vintage is widely regarded as one of Dom Pérignon’s great modern expressions, and the magnum format enhances its aging potential even further. While already impressive, it has the structure and balance to continue developing beautifully over many years, gaining additional complexity and nuance.

Production
Dom Pérignon 2008 is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in almost equal proportions, sourced from carefully selected vineyard sites in Champagne. The cool growing season delivered grapes with exceptional acidity and aromatic purity, while the long cellar maturation of more than ten years helped build the wine’s silky texture, depth, and layered complexity.

Food & Serving
Serve chilled at 10–12°C to preserve the wine’s freshness and finesse. It pairs beautifully with shellfish, oysters, grilled fish, sashimi, lobster, and rich creamy pasta dishes, and a brief decant is generally not necessary for Champagne unless serving in a larger format glass.

Producer
Dom Pérignon is the prestige cuvée of Champagne Moët & Chandon, one of the most respected names in the region and part of the storied legacy of French Champagne. Named after the famous Benedictine monk associated with Champagne’s early development, the cuvée has become a benchmark for luxury sparkling wine and is celebrated worldwide for its consistency, elegance, and age-worthy style.
