Darioush Signature Shiraz 2019 is a serious Napa Valley expression of Syrah, shaped with both power and precision. Crafted by winemaker Hope Goldie, it combines dark-fruited richness, savory spice, and impressive cellar potential in a distinctly polished California style.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine is deep and dark in color, setting the stage for a concentrated and expressive profile. The nose is layered with blackberries, black cherries, and plums, lifted by pepper, warm spice, and a subtle touch of toasted oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and densely flavored, yet refined, with a silky texture, lively acidity, and ripe tannins that bring both structure and elegance. The 2019 vintage already shows impressive balance, and it should continue to develop beautifully over the next several years, gaining further complexity with age.

Production
The grapes come from the cooler pockets of southern Napa Valley, especially Oak Knoll, where the climate allows for slow, even ripening and a strong balance between fruit intensity, freshness, and structure. Aged in a high proportion of new French oak barrels, the wine gains depth, spice, and framework without losing its natural energy or varietal character.

Food & Serving
This Shiraz is a natural match for lamb, grilled meats, and rich dishes with bold seasoning or warm spices. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and decanting for at least 1 hour is recommended to let the wine open fully and show its layered aromatics and texture.
