Cuore di Marchesa Etna Bianco 2024 is an elegant Sicilian white wine shaped by the volcanic character of Mount Etna. Made from Carricante and Catarratto Bianco Comune, it combines vibrant citrus freshness with floral aromatics and a more layered, textured style from extended lees ageing and amphora maturation.

Tasting Notes
Bright and pale in appearance, this Etna Bianco opens with delicate floral aromas alongside fresh citrus and subtle mineral impressions. On the palate, it is crisp and aromatic, with notes of lemon and other citrus fruits balanced by a rounded texture and impressive complexity. The natural freshness makes it especially appealing in its youth, while the time on fine lees gives it the structure to develop further over the short to medium term.

Production
Produced under the Etna DOC appellation, the wine comes from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, where the high-altitude environment helps preserve freshness and aromatic definition. The blend of Carricante and Catarratto Bianco Comune is fermented with indigenous yeasts, then matured for at least 10 months in stainless-steel tanks on its fine lees, with regular bâtonnage. Additional ageing in cocciopesto amphorae contributes texture and complexity while allowing the wine’s varietal and volcanic character to remain at the forefront.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 10–12°C. Its citrus-driven freshness and textured palate make it a natural partner for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, vegetable antipasti, fresh cheeses and Sicilian-inspired dishes with herbs and lemon. Decanting is not necessary, although opening the bottle shortly before serving can allow its floral and mineral nuances to emerge.

The winery’s use of spontaneous fermentation, extended lees maturation and cocciopesto amphorae reflects a hands-off philosophy that highlights the identity of the grapes and their volcanic surroundings.
