Corsignano Chianti Riserva L’Imperatore 2017 is a rich, dry Tuscan red that showcases the character of Sangiovese at its most classic and expressive. Inspired by the tarot card symbol of authority and strength, it brings together ripe fruit, structure, and elegance in a style that feels unmistakably Chianti.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Riserva shows a deep ruby-red color with good intensity. The aroma opens with mature red fruit, followed by gentle spice and the warm, inviting notes you’d expect from well-made Sangiovese. On the palate, it is dry and full-bodied, with soft tannins and a long, well-balanced finish. There is a satisfying depth to the wine, and its structure suggests it can continue to develop nicely over the next few years, gaining further complexity with time.

Production
Made from Sangiovese in Tuscany, this wine reflects the region’s warm climate, balanced soils, and long tradition of quality winemaking. After harvest, it is aged for 18 months in French and Slovenian oak barrels, which adds subtle spice, polish, and extra roundness to the wine without overpowering its varietal character.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled meats, pork dishes, pasta with ragù, and flavorful aged or spicy cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if you’d like to bring out its aromatics and soften the texture even more.
