Coppo Alta Langa Riserva Extra Brut 2020 is the estate’s flagship sparkling wine, crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Piedmont’s Alta Langa DOCG. Built on mineral complexity and a powerful, structured style, it is a spumante with real aging potential and a distinctly refined character.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a fine, persistent mousse and a luminous pale straw color with subtle golden highlights. The bouquet is elegant and layered, moving from citrus, white flowers, and crisp orchard fruit to more complex notes of brioche, toasted almond, and chalky minerality. On the palate, it is dry and focused, with lively acidity and a firm, almost vertical structure that gives the wine impressive drive. The mineral backbone adds length and precision, while the Extra Brut dosage keeps the finish taut, clean, and very gastronomic. This is a sparkling wine that can develop beautifully over time, gaining nuance and depth with cellar age.

Production
Produced in Piedmont’s Alta Langa, an area known for its cool climate, altitude, and soils that lend freshness and tension to sparkling wines. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are carefully harvested to preserve acidity and aromatic finesse, then vinified with a focus on structure, purity, and long lees aging to build complexity and texture.

An excellent match for oysters, shellfish, sushi, sashimi, raw seafood, or refined dishes such as risotto, poultry, and white truffle specialties. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary; however, a brief rest in the glass can help the wine open up and reveal its full aromatic detail.
