Colterenzio Sauvignon Blanc Lafoa is a refined Alto Adige white that combines the grape’s classic aromatic lift with the depth and texture of careful oak maturation. Crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it reflects the cool Alpine character of Trentino Alto Adige and the producer’s longstanding commitment to quality since 1960.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, this Sauvignon Blanc shows a bright, elegant profile with concentrated fruit and a polished structure. The nose is intensely aromatic, with notes of elderflower, acacia blossom, and sage, layered with subtle, tasteful oak nuances that add complexity rather than weight. On the palate, it is lively and savory, with crisp acidity, ripe fruit, and a refined creamy texture from lees aging. The finish is long and persistent, making it a wine that can be enjoyed now for its freshness and precision, while also having the structure to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Production
The grapes come from Alto Adige in Trentino-Alto Adige, where the Alpine climate and varied soils help Sauvignon Blanc retain freshness, aromatic intensity, and clarity of flavor. After a short maceration, the fully ripe grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferments partly in stainless steel and partly in barriques before aging for around eight months on the lees.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with asparagus, shellfish, grilled fish, herb-roasted chicken, and creamy risottos, as well as goat’s cheese and dishes with fresh garden herbs. Serve chilled at 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a brief aeration can help open up its layered aromas if served young.
