Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, saturated color that hints at its concentration and power. The nose is intensely aromatic, with layers of dark berries, cassis, blueberry, spice, wild herbs, graphite, and crushed stone. The palate is rich and velvety, yet beautifully structured, balancing ripe fruit with mineral freshness and finely tuned tannins. The finish is long and expansive, and the wine has outstanding aging potential, developing even greater complexity over decades.

Production
IX Estate sits on Pritchard Hill in Napa Valley, where rugged terrain and volcanic soils shape grapes of naturally low yield and high character. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot is crafted in a classic Bordeaux style, with careful harvesting and vinification aimed at preserving purity, structure, and site expression.

This is a wine for refined dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb rack, venison, or truffle-rich mushroom courses. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for several hours, especially if enjoyed young, to allow the wine to fully open.
