The blend is typically dominated by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and the fruit is hand-harvested with low yields to ensure concentration. Vinification is carried out with precision to preserve purity, balance and detail in the finished wine.

This is a superb match for fine beef dishes, roast lamb, duck breast, venison and richly flavoured mushroom dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and decant in advance to allow the wine to open fully and show its layered aromatics and polished structure.
