Description

Château des Tours’ 2015 Côtes du Rhône Grande Réserve is a characterful, expressive Rhône red, prized for its depth, freshness and remarkable finesse. Reportedly a Vacqueyras declassified because its colour did not meet the appellation’s requirements, it offers a compelling glimpse of the estate’s distinctive style.

Tasting Notes
The nose is vivid and complex, with kirsch liqueur, mandarin peel and tobacco leaf, alongside a slice of blood orange and gently stemmy notes. The palate is full-bodied and juicy, yet lively with freshness, carrying the fruit and savoury nuances into a notably long, refined finish that lasts for more than a minute.

Food & Serving
Enjoy with roast lamb, grilled or braised beef, or richly flavoured mushroom dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C; a short rest in a decanter can help the wine open up, though prolonged decanting is unnecessary.
