The nose opens slowly and elegantly, revealing layers of blackcurrant and black cherry, graphite, and crushed violets, intertwined with cedar, tobacco leaf, and a touch of pencil shavings—a textbook Pauillac profile, but lifted by a discreet floral perfume and a cool, mineral undertone. The estate is a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in the Médoc, relying on meticulous, hands-on vineyard work, horse-ploughing, and natural preparations to nurture vine health and terroir expression. Harvesting is conducted by hand, with strict sorting to ensure only the healthiest, perfectly ripe berries make it into the winery. Vinification combines tradition and innovation: fermentation takes place in a mix of concrete and wooden vats with careful extraction to preserve finesse, followed by aging in a thoughtfully judged proportion of French oak barrels and amphorae. This approach allows the natural character of the fruit and the Pauillac terroir to shine, without being dominated by oak.
