Description

Chateau Musar 1969 is one of Lebanon’s great classic reds, offering the kind of depth and character that has made the estate internationally revered. Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan, it brings together richness, spice and elegance in a style that reflects both the Bekaa Valley and Musar’s long-standing reputation for age-worthy wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep red color with violet reflections, still carrying remarkable vibrancy for its age. The nose is expressive and layered, with black fruits, warm spices and a distinctive leathery note that adds complexity and maturity. On the palate, the wine is smooth and velvety, supported by a lively acidity that keeps it fresh and focused. The finish is long and persistent, with the structure and balance to continue rewarding careful cellaring, though it is already beautifully evolved.

Production
Chateau Musar is produced in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, a region known for its dry climate, sunny days and cool nights, which help preserve freshness in the grapes. The wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan, and aged for at least 30 months in oak barrels, allowing the blend to develop its signature complexity, texture and depth.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs especially well with game, roasted meats and mature cheeses, where its savory depth and supple structure can shine. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting if the bottle is showing significant sediment or if you’d like to open up its more aromatic layers before serving.

Producer
Chateau Musar is Lebanon’s most iconic wine estate and a benchmark producer in the region, founded in the Bekaa Valley and known for wines that age gracefully over decades. The estate has earned an international following for its distinctive style, traditional approach and consistent quality, making it one of the most respected names in premium wine.
