Tasting Notes
In the glass, this vintage is deep and inviting, with a vibrant core of ripe fruit and the kind of brightness that keeps it feeling fresh rather than heavy. The nose unfolds with notes of ripe berries, baking spices, liquorice, toasted nuts, roasted coffee, and a subtle floral hint of lavender. On the palate, it is generous and layered, with supple tannins, a rounded texture, and a savoury edge that adds depth to the fruit. The finish is persistent and refined, suggesting good short- to medium-term ageing potential, with the 2022 likely to gain further harmony over the next few years.

Production
Château Marjosse is based in Entre-Deux-Mers, an area of Bordeaux more commonly associated with white wines, but the estate’s 9 hectares near Tizac-de-Curton offer the clay and limestone soils needed for high-quality red varieties. The site benefits from slopes that are often underestimated in the region, yet they provide excellent conditions for producing wines with structure, balance, and aromatic lift. The wine is crafted to highlight freshness, fruit purity, and the distinctive mineral backbone of the terroir.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roast lamb, duck breast, grilled beef, mushroom dishes, and hard cheeses such as Comté or aged Gouda. Serve it at around 16–18°C to let the aromatics and texture fully open up. Decanting for about 30–60 minutes is recommended, especially if enjoyed in its youth.
