Description

Château La Brande 2020 is a Right Bank Bordeaux blend from the Todeschini family, whose principal estate, Château Mangot, lies nearby in Saint-Émilion. Made from organically certified vineyards in the Côtes de Castillon, it combines Merlot with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, then receives a measured élevage in oak and stainless steel.

Tasting Notes
The blend and oak élevage suggest a ripe, fruit-led style, with dark berry and plum notes, potentially complemented by hints of spice and toasted oak. Production
The Château La Brande vineyards are in the Côtes de Castillon, on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, east of Saint-Émilion. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted again at the winery, then spontaneously fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine is matured for 12 months: one third in barriques, one third in 400-litre oak casks—both with around 40% new oak—and the remaining third in stainless steel. The estate’s vineyard holdings are now organically certified.
