Tasting Notes
Across the collection, expect deeply colored Bordeaux reds with layered aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, cedar, tobacco, earth, and subtle spice. The 2011 Léoville Poyferré is the richest and most concentrated of the set, with an inky purple hue, silky tannins, and a broad, dense palate marked by impressive power and finesse. The 2016 Moulin Riche leans more seductive and polished, showing black cherry, black plum, vanilla, and a mineral edge, while the 2015 Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré is firmer and more classic in profile, with black fruit, earthy savoriness, olives, and grainy tannins. All three wines have good aging potential, with the Moulin Riche already highly approachable and the Léoville Poyferré and Pavillon bottles capable of developing further complexity over the next several years.

Production
This set reflects the diversity of the Cuvelier family’s vineyards in Saint-Julien, where gravelly Bordeaux terroirs lend structure, freshness, and aromatic lift to Cabernet Sauvignon-led blends. The wines are crafted from a classic mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, with each cuvée vinified separately to preserve its own identity before aging in oak, including a portion of new barrels for added depth and texture.

Food & Serving
These wines pair beautifully with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, venison, and dishes with mushrooms or truffle. They also work well with aged hard cheeses and rich braised preparations. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant younger bottles for 1–2 hours to allow the aromas to open and the tannins to soften.
