Château Hosanna 2023 is a standout Pomerol from one of Bordeaux’s most admired small estates, combining old-school depth with a polished, modern sense of finesse. Crafted from a Merlot-led blend and aged in French oak, it shows the kind of layered richness and elegance that has made Hosanna one of the benchmark names in the appellation.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it is deeply colored and captivating, with aromas of blackcurrant preserve, ripe black cherries, spice box, chocolate, and delicate floral nuances. The palate is rich and medium to full-bodied, with a seamless, layered texture, polished velvety tannins, and a long, beautifully composed finish. This is a wine built for the cellar. While it already shows remarkable charm and precision, it is expected to gain even more complexity over the next several years and should drink beautifully for three decades or more.

Production
Made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc grown on just 4.5 hectares in Pomerol, the wine comes from blue clay and iron-rich gravel soils that naturally lend depth, structure, and aromatic complexity. The grapes are vinified with care and matured for 16–18 months in 50% new French oak, helping to frame the wine without overshadowing its pure fruit and silky texture.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for fine beef, roast lamb, duck breast, truffle dishes, and other rich, savory preparations that can stand up to its intensity and elegance. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to let the aromatics and texture fully open.
