Tasting Notes
The wine opens with a luminous, finely etched bouquet of jasmine, citrus fruit, cedar, verbena tea, and white flowers. On the palate it is poised and detailed, with a silky yet focused texture that feels almost weightless before building into a long, laser-sharp finish. A subtle phenolic edge brings freshness and definition, helping to balance the wine’s aromatic richness and giving the 2022 vintage impressive tension. While beautifully approachable now for its purity, it has the structure and complexity to age gracefully over time.

Production
Château-Grillet comes from a tiny, historic terroir in the Northern Rhône, where steep granite slopes and a warm, sun-exposed site create ideal conditions for Viognier. The vineyard’s exceptional position and meticulous site management are central to the wine’s distinctive character, with harvest and vinification handled with great care to preserve precision, freshness, and aromatic clarity.

Food & Serving
Best served slightly chilled, around 10–12°C, Château-Grillet pairs wonderfully with shellfish, lobster, roast poultry, veal, creamy sauces, and refined Asian dishes with ginger or aromatic herbs.
