Description

Château Galoupet Rosé 2024 is a serious Provençal rosé that goes far beyond the easy-drinking style many people expect from the category. As one of the few Cru Classé estates in Provence, Château du Galoupet combines heritage with modern ambition, resulting in a wine of precision, depth, and a distinctly gastronomic profile.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a vivid, polished rosé hue with real presence. The nose is layered with ripe peach, citrus zest, and wild herbs, lifted by a subtle spice and a faint mineral edge that gives the wine extra definition. On the palate, it balances generous fruit with bright freshness and a cool, saline, chalky finish that adds structure and length. This is a rosé with impressive complexity and enough concentration to evolve in bottle, making it one of the more cellar-worthy examples in the Provence category.

Production
Château Galoupet sits in Provence, where the estate benefits from a Mediterranean climate and terroir well suited to producing elegant, mineral-driven rosé. The wine is made from Grenache, Syrah/Shiraz, and Cinsault, with careful work in both vineyard and cellar, including partial barrel fermentation, to build texture and depth while preserving freshness.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for refined dishes such as grilled prawns, roasted sea bass, bouillabaisse, Provençal vegetable dishes, or chicken with herbs. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary, though a few minutes in the glass will help the aromas open up.

Producer
Château du Galoupet is a historic Provence estate and one of the region’s notable Cru Classé properties. Since becoming part of the LVMH portfolio, the estate has undergone a clear elevation in ambition and quality, with a focus on precision, sustainability, and wines that bring greater depth and ageability to the rosé category.
