Description

Champagne Gosset Petite Douceur Rosé Extra Dry is a seriously crafted, gently off-dry rosé Champagne from one of the oldest and most respected houses in the region. Made entirely from Grand Cru fruit, it combines elegance, precision, and a generous fruit profile in a style that feels both classic and quietly luxurious.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a delicate rosé hue with a lively mousse and fine, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with ripe strawberry, raspberry, and subtle rose petal, lifted by hints of stone fruit and the house’s signature pastry-like notes. On the palate, this Champagne is juicy and supple, with red berry fruit at the forefront, wrapped around notes of biscuit, fresh bread, and a creamy, rounded texture. The sweetness is beautifully balanced by vibrant acidity, giving the wine harmony, freshness, and excellent drinkability. It is best enjoyed young for its bright fruit, though the structure and balance give it the ability to hold well over the medium term.

Production
This cuvée is made from a 100% Grand Cru blend, with 60% Chardonnay sourced from Avize and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and 40% Pinot Noir from Bouzy, Ambonnay, and Cumières. These premier hillside sites bring chalk-driven finesse, depth, and aromatic purity, while the Pinot Noir adds colour, fruit, and texture. Gosset’s approach is characteristically meticulous, with a focus on preserving the clarity and quality of the fruit through careful vinification.

Food & Serving
Ideal as an aperitif, this rosé Champagne also pairs beautifully with fruit-based desserts, especially tart or citrus-driven sweets that echo its fresh acidity. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary and is generally best avoided to preserve the wine’s fine bubbles and delicate aromas.

Producer
Founded in 1584, Champagne Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne and has spent more than 16 generations refining a style known for classicism, balance, and quality. The family-run house is deeply tied to the identity of the region and is widely regarded as one of its most respected producers, with a reputation built on consistency, craftsmanship, and Grand Cru excellence.
