Why shop with us?
Champagne Gosset 12 Ans de Cave Rosé is a richly styled prestige cuvée that reflects the house’s signature freshness, depth and precision. Built from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and aged extensively in cellar for at least 12 years, it combines red-fruited elegance with the complexity that only long maturation can bring. Gosset is one of Champagne’s oldest houses, and this cuvée speaks clearly to that long tradition of finesse and patience.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a delicate rosé hue with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is refined and layered, with notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, citrus zest, dried flowers and subtle pastry or brioche tones from extended ageing.
On the palate, it is vibrant yet broad, balancing crisp acidity with a creamy texture and deep savoury complexity. Red berries, blood orange and mineral freshness lead the way, while the long cellar ageing adds toasted, lightly nutty nuances. This is a Champagne with excellent ageing potential, though it is already beautifully evolved and ready to enjoy now.
Production
Sourced from Champagne’s chalk-rich terroirs, the wine benefits from the region’s cool climate and mineral soils, which help preserve freshness and structure. Chardonnay brings brightness and finesse, while Pinot Noir contributes colour, body and red-fruit character. Gosset is known for a traditional vinification approach that emphasizes purity and balance, followed by long cellar ageing to build complexity and refinement.
Food & Serving
This rosé Champagne is a superb match for dishes such as salmon, tuna tartare, duck breast, poultry with berry sauces, or refined charcuterie. It also works well with sushi, lobster, and aged hard cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not recommended, as it is best enjoyed for its lively mousse and delicate aromatic lift.
Producer
Champagne Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne, with roots dating back to 1584. Based in Aÿ, the house has earned a strong reputation for elegant, terroir-driven Champagnes that favour freshness, precision and ageing potential. Over the centuries, Gosset has remained a benchmark producer, celebrated for its distinctive style and consistency across both its classic and prestige cuvées.
