Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a pale, luminous gold with green reflections. The bouquet is refined and layered, with notes of citrus zest, white flowers, green apple, and wet stone, often followed by subtle hints of brioche, almond, and oyster shell. The palate is concentrated yet crystalline, balancing ripe orchard fruit with fresh acidity and a pronounced chalky minerality. The finish is long, tense, and saline, with the structure to age gracefully for several years, developing more complexity and a rounder, honeyed character over time.

Production
Les Clos is one of the most prized Grand Cru vineyards in Chablis, known for its steep, south-facing slope and classic Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils rich in marine fossils. These conditions give the wine both power and finesse, while the cool climate preserves freshness and precision. Harvesting is typically done with great care to retain purity, and vinification is designed to emphasize terroir expression, often with controlled fermentation and aging that supports structure without overwhelming the wine’s mineral character.
