Cesari Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Bosan Riserva is a powerful, deeply expressive red that showcases the classic richness of Amarone with remarkable freshness and balance. Produced by the historic Gerardo Cesari estate in Veneto, it combines the concentration of dried Corvina and Rondinella grapes with the elegance and precision that have made Amarone one of Italy’s most celebrated wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear, compact garnet hue with impressive depth. The bouquet is layered and inviting, unfolding with balsamic notes, moss, roots, and bay leaf, followed by black cherry, blood orange, leather, cocoa, and cigar box, all resting on a graphite-like background. On the palate, it is warm, enveloping, and savory, yet remarkably dynamic, with lively freshness keeping the wine lifted and energetic. The tannins are measured and polished, and the finish is long and satisfying, echoing with hints of rhubarb. While already compelling, this is a wine with the structure and complexity to age gracefully for years.

Production
This Amarone comes from Gerardo Cesari’s vineyards in Valpolicella Classico, with production centered between the estate’s two historic locations in Fumane and Cavaion Veronese. The wine is crafted from 80% Corvina and 20% Rondinella, grapes traditionally associated with the region and selected to deliver both power and aromatic nuance. It is aged for 18 months in a combination of different wood types, followed by an additional 18 months of bottle aging, giving it depth, texture, and refinement.
