Sourced from the sandstone soils of the Zephyr Vineyard between Freestone Valley and Sebastopol, it stands out for its purity, texture, and unmistakable mineral drive.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw-yellow in the glass, this Chardonnay opens with an elegant, layered nose of yellow flowers, lime zest, and spiced pear. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a supple, textured feel, offering notes of lemon, apple, and ripe nectarine. A subtle saline edge and bright acidity give the wine energy and lift, leading into a long, mineral finish marked by green tea and herbs. Drink it now for its freshness and precision, or cellar it for 5 to 10 years to gain added complexity and depth.

Production
Zephyr Vineyard is situated on the Sonoma Coast, between Freestone Valley and Sebastopol, where sandstone soils help shape the wine’s distinctive saline, mineral character. The Chardonnay grapes are hand-harvested and then spontaneously fermented in old oak barrels, with no malolactic fermentation to preserve vibrancy and clarity. The wine is aged for 12 months on fine lees without stirring, enhancing texture while maintaining its clean, focused style.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with grilled fish, seafood, chicken with herbs, and mushroom risotto. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and there is no need for decanting unless you want to open it up gently after extended bottle age.
