Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the deep, concentrated color you expect from a top-tier Napa Cabernet. The nose opens gradually and is layered with dark cherry, blueberry tart, boysenberry, tar, milk chocolate, and liquorice, becoming more expressive with a little time in the glass. The palate is dense, plush, and intensely flavored, led by dark cherries, blueberries, raspberry liqueur, boysenberry, shaved milk chocolate, and a subtle tarry note. Despite its power, the wine finishes with remarkable length and polish. It is already impressive now, yet it has the structure and depth to continue developing beautifully over time.

Produced only in vintages when the best vineyard parcels reach exceptional quality, Special Selection comes from carefully chosen plots across Napa Valley. The wine reflects the region’s warm climate and diverse terroirs, which allow Cabernet Sauvignon to achieve full ripeness while retaining freshness and complexity. Under the guidance of winemaker Chuck Wagner, the wine is vinified with a focus on concentration, balance, and the luxurious style that has made the label famous.

Food & Serving
This is a wine that pairs beautifully with prime rib, ribeye steak, braised short ribs, lamb, or dishes with rich mushroom and truffle elements. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and flavors to fully open.
