Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a deep, opaque ruby-purple color that hints at its concentration. The nose opens slowly, then delivers layers of dark cherry, blueberry pie, boysenberry, tar, milk chocolate, and liquorice. On the palate it is rich, intense, and deeply layered, with dark cherry, blueberry, raspberry liqueur, boysenberry, and light chocolate shavings wrapped around a bold, plush texture. The finish is remarkably long and persistent, and while it is already impressive now, it has the structure and balance to develop beautifully over time.

Special Selection is made only in years when the fruit from Caymus’s top vineyard parcels reaches exceptional quality. The vineyards in California benefit from warm conditions that allow full ripeness and concentrated flavors, while selective harvesting ensures only the finest grapes make the final blend. Winemaker Chuck Wagner shapes the wine with a focus on power, richness, and seamless integration.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with prime rib, ribeye steak, grilled lamb, venison, or other richly flavored dishes with a savory crust. It is best served at 16-18°C, and decanting for at least 1-2 hours is recommended, especially if opened young, to allow the aromas and texture to fully раскрыться.
