Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the refined brightness expected of a top Franciacorta, with a lively mousse and a graceful, elegant profile. The nose is layered and expressive, offering fresh citrus, green apple, white flowers, and subtle brioche tones that develop from extended time on the lees. On the palate, it is crisp and structured, with the extra brut style emphasizing purity, tension, and mineral drive. Chardonnay brings precision and lift, while Pinot Noir adds depth, subtle red-fruit nuance, and complexity. Thanks to at least 48 months on the lees, it has the concentration and balance to age gracefully for several more years.

Production
CruPerdu Grande Annata comes from carefully selected Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in Lombardy’s Franciacorta zone, where the region’s cool climate and mineral-rich soils help preserve acidity and aromatic clarity. Only in the best vintages do the grapes achieve the concentrated structure and flavor needed for this cuvée, making it a wine of both character and longevity. After fermentation, the wine rests on its lees for a minimum of 48 months, and only a limited number of bottles are chosen for an additional year of bottle aging before release.

Food & Serving
This Franciacorta is an excellent match for refined seafood dishes, sushi, shellfish, risotto, poultry, and light creamy cheeses, as well as celebratory canapés and charcuterie. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to best highlight its freshness and complexity. Decanting is not recommended; instead, open shortly before serving to preserve its delicate mousse and aromatic lift.
