Crafted by Frescobaldi in the historic heart of Montalcino, it reflects both the nobility of the grape and the depth of a terroir shaped by centuries of winemaking.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, this Brunello opens with an inviting mix of ripe raspberry, blackcurrant, and violet. With time in the glass, it gains layers of leather, spice, and balsamic nuance, while the palate shows a dense tannic frame, lively structure, and a distinctly mineral edge. The finish is long and refined, balancing concentration with freshness. This is a wine built for cellaring, and it should continue to develop complexity over the next decade or more, gaining even greater harmony and aromatic depth with age.

Production
The grapes come from Castelgiocondo’s hillside vineyards in Montalcino, around 300 meters above sea level, with southwest exposure for optimal ripening. The soils of galestro and clay provide excellent drainage and help shape the wine’s concentrated character and precise aromatic profile. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel with frequent pump-overs and extended maceration on the skins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for two years in oak, using a combination of small French barrels and large Slavonian casks, before further bottle aging to refine its structure and complexity.

Food & Serving
This Brunello pairs beautifully with roasted meats, game, braised dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve it at 16–18°C, and decant for at least an hour before serving to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
