Casanova di Neri’s Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is one of the estate’s most celebrated expressions of Sangiovese, crafted from a project that blends meticulous research with deep passion. Made from a distinctive clone sourced from the legendary Cerretalto vineyard and shaped by a southern Montalcino terroir, it delivers remarkable finesse, Mediterranean character, and a refined tannic structure.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby core with garnet highlights, hinting at both concentration and development. The nose is intense and layered, with ripe fruit, spice, and savory Mediterranean nuances unfolding over time. On the palate, it is deeply textured yet beautifully balanced, offering a full and satisfying expression of Brunello with notable freshness and precision. The tannins are structured and elegant, and the wine has the pedigree to age gracefully for many years, gaining further complexity and nuance.

Production
Tenuta Nuova comes from vineyards in the southern part of Montalcino, where the warmer Mediterranean-influenced climate helps bring out aromatic depth and finesse in the fruit. The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese using a selected clone from Cerretalto, with fermentation and maceration lasting 23 days before maturation in small oak barrels for 30 months, followed by 18 months in bottle.

This Brunello is an excellent match for rich Tuscan dishes, roasted lamb, beef stew, game, truffle pasta, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours to allow the aromas and structure to fully open.
