Casanova della Spinetta Toscana Rosso Colorino is a distinctive Tuscan red that shows the character of 100% Colorino with the polish and precision associated with La Spinetta. Born from the Rivetti family’s deep connection to Tuscany, it combines ripe fruit, spice, and a truly regional identity in a wine that feels both expressive and thoughtfully crafted.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it pours a very deep ruby red, almost opaque in intensity. The nose opens with aromas of berries, sweet spices, and freshly cut flowers, supported by a clear, fruit-driven core that gives the wine energy and lift. On the palate, it is full-flavored and complex, with soft tannins and a pleasing spicy finish that lingers nicely. The wine’s structure and concentration suggest good aging potential, especially as the layers of fruit and oak continue to integrate over time.

Production
The grapes come from Casanova and Sezzana in Tuscany, where the terroir provides the warmth and character needed for a vivid expression of Colorino. After controlled alcoholic fermentation in rotofermenters for 10–11 days, the wine is matured for 24 months in 600-liter medium-toasted French oak barrels, then rests in stainless steel for 10 months before bottling, followed by 6 months in bottle. It is bottled without filtering or fining to preserve its natural texture and depth.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for red meats, roasted dishes, and aged cheeses, where its spice and structure complement rich flavors beautifully. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for about 1 hour to let the aromatics and tannins open fully.
