Description

Casa La Tenca’s 2025 Sauvignon Blanc Reserva is a fresh, coastal Chilean white from the cool-climate Leyda Valley. Made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc and matured in stainless steel, it highlights the grape’s lively fruit and the region’s distinctive mineral, saline character; the wine is also described as sustainably produced.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow with green reflections, it opens with expressive aromas of lychee, lime and citrus, lifted by fresh herbal notes. The palate is dry and juicy, with crisp acidity and a pronounced mineral edge, finishing with lingering, subtly saline flavours. Its freshness and fruit-forward style are best enjoyed while young, when the aromas and lively acidity are at their most vivid.

Production
The grapes come from Leyda Valley, where Pacific breezes and the cooling influence of the Humboldt Current help preserve aromatic freshness. Vineyards grow on silt- and sand-rich soils, with layers of red clay over granite. Grapes are picked early in the morning, then cold-macerated in tank before fermentation at around 12°C. Stainless-steel maturation preserves the Sauvignon Blanc’s varietal character and freshness.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C. Its citrus, herbal and saline notes make a natural match for oysters, ceviche, grilled fish, shellfish and fresh goat’s cheese. Decanting is not necessary; open shortly before serving.
