Description

Capannelle’s Chardonnay is a Tuscan take on the classic variety, balancing fresh fruit with a creamy texture and gentle oak influence. It comes from the historic estate in Gaiole in Chianti, founded on Raffaele Rossetti’s passion for wine and set around a 17th-century farmhouse.

Tasting Notes
Intensely straw-yellow in the glass, it opens with aromas of honey, lavender, white almond and broom flowers. The palate is fresh yet full and creamy, with exotic fruit and a soft, vanilla-like finish. No specific aging window is provided; its freshness and aromatic character make it appealing to enjoy while young.

Production
Made from 100% Chardonnay at Capannelle’s estate in Gaiole in Chianti, Tuscany, and bottled as Toscana IGT at 13% alcohol. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, while 20% of the wine is aged in new barriques for 10 months. Harvesting details are not specified.

Food & Serving
Try it with roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta or dishes featuring almonds and mild herbs. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary, though a few minutes in the glass can help its aromas open up.

Producer
Capannelle’s story began in 1974, when Raffaele Rossetti moved into a 17th-century farmhouse surrounded by 10.5 hectares of land in Gaiole in Chianti. The estate has since become associated with expressive wines from this Tuscan setting.
