Description

Made from 100% Lambrusco di Sorbara, Cantina della Volta’s 2021 Rosé Brut brings the grape’s bright, aromatic character to a sparkling wine crafted using the traditional method. Its delicate pink colour, fine persistent bubbles and lively, savoury finish offer a distinctive expression of the Modena area.

Tasting Notes
Pale pink in the glass, with a fine, persistent perlage. The nose opens with raspberry, wild strawberry, rose and pomegranate. On the palate, lively acidity and a structured, refined, saline edge keep the fruit fresh and inviting. The producer notes good ageing potential, though the wine can also be enjoyed for its youthful freshness.

Production
The Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes come from Bomporto in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, a historic growing area known for wines with aromatic character and freshness. The fruit is hand-harvested in late September and carefully selected, then gently pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks. After six months in tank, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle at 12°C, followed by riddling and disgorgement.

Food & Serving
Try it with cured meats, Parmigiano Reggiano, fried snacks or seafood—the wine’s bright acidity and saline finish work especially well with rich or savoury flavours. Serve well chilled, around 6–8°C. Decanting is not recommended; open shortly before serving to preserve its bubbles and fresh aromatics.
