Cantina Andriano Lagrein Rubeno is a characterful red from Trentino-Alto Adige, made from 100% Lagrein and offering the variety’s signature depth with a polished, unexpectedly elegant finish. A wine rooted in one of South Tyrol’s most important historic cooperatives, it reflects both local tradition and a modern, refined style.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet-red color. The nose opens with dark berry aromas such as blackberry and blackcurrant, lifted by violet notes and a hint of alpine plum. On the palate, it is structured and expressive, with soft tannins, good length, and a savory, persistent finish. Its balance of power and finesse gives it strong near-term appeal, while it should also hold well over the next few years.

Production
This Lagrein comes from the Trentino-Alto Adige terroir, where alpine influence and warm valley conditions help shape the grape’s bold yet aromatic profile. Fermentation and malolactic conversion take place in large oak casks, followed by 6 months of aging, helping to round the tannins and preserve the wine’s natural freshness and fruit purity.

Food & Serving
A natural match for grilled red meats, roast lamb, game, mushroom dishes, and aged alpine cheeses. Serve slightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C, and decant for about 30 minutes if possible to allow the aromas to open fully.

Andriano has a distinguished place in South Tyrol’s wine history: in 1893, local growers founded the region’s first cooperative winery.
