Camigliano Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Gualto 2019 is a polished expression of Sangiovese Grosso from one of Tuscany’s most celebrated appellations. As a Riserva, it brings added depth, structure, and complexity, offering a wine that reflects both the elegance of Brunello and the power of a carefully selected vineyard site.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby core with garnet highlights, hinting at both concentration and finesse. The bouquet is layered and refined, with aromas of ripe cherry, wild berries, dried flowers, tobacco, leather, and subtle spice, often unfolding further with time in the glass.
On the palate, the wine is structured and focused, balancing vibrant acidity with firm, polished tannins. Flavors of sour cherry, plum, earthy herbs, and cedar lead into a long, persistent finish. With its Riserva status and classic Brunello backbone, it has excellent aging potential and should continue to evolve beautifully over many years.
Production
Produced from Sangiovese Grosso grown in the hills of Montalcino, the wine benefits from Tuscany’s warm days, cool nights, and well-drained soils that help preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The grapes are typically harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, with careful selection to ensure only the best fruit is used.
Vinification is handled with a traditional Brunello mindset, emphasizing extraction, balance, and long maturation. After fermentation, the wine is aged extensively in wood and bottle before release, allowing the tannins to soften and the flavors to integrate into a more complex, harmonious whole.
Food & Serving
This is an ideal match for rich, savory dishes such as braised beef, wild boar, lamb, truffle pasta, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours, especially if opening young, to allow the wine’s aromas and structure to fully open.

Camigliano is a respected estate in Montalcino with a long-standing reputation for producing classic, terroir-driven Brunello wines. The winery is known for combining traditional craftsmanship with a deep respect for the character of its vineyards, and its wines are regularly recognized for their balance, authenticity, and aging potential.
