Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Shiraz typically shows a deep ruby to dark garnet colour. The nose is expressive and inviting, with aromas of blackberries, plums, and dark cherries layered with cracked pepper, subtle oak spice, and a hint of cocoa. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with juicy dark fruit supported by supple tannins and a smooth, rounded texture. Notes of spice and savoury depth add complexity, while the finish is generous and lingering. The 2021 vintage should drink well now and also has the structure to develop nicely over the next few years.

Boschendal’s vineyards benefit from South Africa’s diverse terroir, where warm growing conditions are tempered by cooling influences that help preserve freshness and aromatic detail.
